Yes
I have not personally been involved in a Preservation Easement project; but it is a compelling tool that I would enthusiastically support in Congress.

Yes
Historical externalities are no lesser considerations when assessing economic and other impact of federal projects.
Does historic preservation play an important role in your state/district? How so? Describe any personal connections to historic preservation or historic sites. Is there a specific historic place in your district that is important to you and your constituents?
I am honored to be the current Chair of the Tulsa Preservation Commission – which, among other things, administers and regulates activity within Tulsa’s six preservation overlay zoning districts. We are blessed in Oklahoma’s First Congressional District to have world class architectural treasures, primarily from the Deco-era and other Modernist periods of significance. We are also blessed to have a state legislature that has (to-date!) appreciated the logic and positive economic impact of historical preservation, and has consistently provided for matching state HTCs. P.S. When in Tulsa, Bruce Goff’s Deco masterpiece — the Boston Ave. Methodist Church — should not be missed!

I believe in protecting and continuing to educate future generations about all cultures and history in our nation. I believe we must continue to protect these historic sites as well as the cultural heritage around our great nation.

These funds are needed to help preserve the historic areas.
Do you support the Federal Historic Preservation Easement program?
Yes
Again I feel we need to do all we can to maintain our historic sites and their importance to those areas.

This is a must to ensure everyone is heard and we always take great consideration for any decision being made.

Yes. The Price Tower in Bartlesville, Ok is a very important building in the city as well as our state. It is currently in the middle of ownership and uncertainty. It must be protected. I also live in the middle of the great Cherokee Nation and their culture is very important to many in Oklahoma.
