I have always lived in the Miami Valley, located in SW Ohio along the Great Miami River. Our historical sites are known all over the world. We have Native American mounds and village sites, underground railroad sites, Revolutionary War sites, The National Museum of the United States Air Force, home of the Wright Brothers and Paul Lawrence Dunbar and that’s just those that immediately come to mind. We are very proud of our historical significance in this region and I would be proud to be a vote to extend and expand any funds that would help in preservation.

There are historic home in this district but one of my favorite things growing up was to visit the old canals that used to route through the region.
There are still many parts of the canals discoverable in the surrounding forests.
The historic railroad in Nelsonville Ohio was always a regional favorite as well.
The Hopewell native Americans have sites preserved here with Mounds they built.
