I believe that this is an important way to make sure that we are able to preserve and protect historic properties. It is typically not inexpensive to do and any funding is worthwhile.

Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives:

Would you support efforts to modernize and enhance the Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credit (HTC) program?

Yes

Funding for a program that ends up generating more in tax revenue than it costs seems like a win/win!

Yes, in South Bend, we have a few historic districts. Few because many historic building were razed during the rebuild everything 70’s. Now with so few historic areas/buildings we need to do all we can to support and maintain them.
