Historic preservation is deeply important to my hometown of Evanston, IL. Preservation plays an indispensable role in shaping and maintaining the visual character, social fabric, and resiliency of Evanston’s neighborhoods and business districts. After all, our heritage is inexorably linked to our past! My home itself – built around the turn of the century – is on a historic registry.
