John was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas at age 10. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. John’s interest in preservation arose from a combination of witnessing the demolition and/or neglect of the few historic buildings that remain in both Corpus Christi and Houston and a keen interest in politics and public policy. He interned for Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick while pursuing an undergraduate degree and worked full-time during law school at a boutique family law firm. John is a former board member of Integrity/Houston. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas and American Bar Association and a Board Member of the Off Boundry Preservation Brigrade. |
